UNI names area students to Fall 2019 semester Dean's List
The following students from the Benton County area are among the students named to the Fall 2019 semester Dean's List at the University of Northern Iowa.To be included on the list, a student must have earned a grade point of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while taking at least 12 hours of graded work during the semester. On the 4.0 system, an A is worth four points; a B, three points; a C, two points, and a D, one point.
NEWW minutes January 19
The North Eden Willing Workers meeting was called to order at 5:15 on January 19th, 2020. It was started with an activity where all members colored and made valentines for residents at the Cedar Valley Ranch. The treasurers (treasurer’s)report was given, their is $1,375.85 in our account. Birthdays were celebrated next, and Aleric Weber was given a treat for his birthday.

Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa scholarship application process now open
The Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa 2020 scholarship application period is now open and students may apply for scholarships available through the Foundation at www.cfneia.org/scholarships. The deadline to apply for 2020 scholarships is March 11. In 2019, CFNEIA awarded nearly $500,000 in scholarships to high school, college, and adult students.
Morningside announces December 2019 graduates
55 Morningside College students graduated with bachelor's degrees and 23 graduated with Master of Arts in Teaching degrees in December 2019.Morningside College is a private college in Sioux City, Iowa that offers over 65 majors and pre-professional programs, online graduate programs in education and nursing, and an online bachelor's degree completion program.
Clarke Announces Fall 2019 Dean's List

ECC announces 2019 Fall Term Dean's List
One hundred thirty-six students were named to the Fall 2019 (August to December) Dean's List at Ellsworth Community College. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must have taken 12 or more credit hours during the semester (a full-time class load) and have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average for the Fall 2019 semester (Note: Developmental courses do not count towards GPA.

Benton County Community Foundation Grant Application Available
Grant applications can now be submitted to the Benton County Community Foundation’s 2020 grant cycle. The deadline to submit applications is 11:59 p.m. March 15, 2020. Grants are awarded to projects in the following areas: art and culture, community betterment, education, environment, health, historic preservation and human service. The online grant application can be found on the Community Foundation’s website at www.
